Mogo is looking for a Junior Accountant to join the Finance Team. We are seeking a highly intelligent self-starter with a positive ‘get-it-done’ attitude, just itching for a chance to show what you can do. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, an excellent team player and have a strong work ethic.

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for accounts payable of the company, including for receiving, obtaining approval and entering invoices into Great Plains
  • Process payments in accordance with payment terms and urgency
  • Respond to all vendors inquiry
  • Perform reconciliation and aging of payables
  • Assist with GST filings
  • Create and maintain Purchase Orders
  • Ensure accounting records are maintained thoroughly and accurately
  • Maintain vendor contracts and lease agreements
  • Assist with annual audit and quarterly reviews
  • Work closely with Finance team and management to ensure priority objectives are met
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects on an as-needed basis
  • Contribute to a positive team environment

What you’ll need:

  • Diploma in Accounting or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in A/P is an asset
  • Knowledge of Great Plains and MS Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Track record of adhering to organizational policies and procedures
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Friendly and proactive demeanor
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
