Mogo is looking for a licensed Mortgage Specialist, who are passionate about first-rate customer service to ensure seamless mortgage applications for every single one of our MogoMembers! Reporting directly to the Mortgage Team Lead, the Mortgage Specialist will be in charge of developing strong and trusting relationships with customers by guiding them through the forms and processes of obtaining a mortgage. What you’ll do:

  • Work together with a team of Mortgage Specialists dedicated to supporting the daily operations of the Mortgage team
  • Utilize your skills as a Mortgage professional to providing the best possible customer service to our clients while facilitating the process of obtaining a MogoMortgage
  • Liaise with clients for necessary information, analysis, and negotiations associated with their mortgages
  • Review loan documents to ensure compliance and accuracy with loan details
  • Interpret and translate products, concepts, and the legalities of a mortgage application to customers using simple and easy-to-understand language
  • Measure and report on funded volumes and funded ratios
  • Ensure compliance with banking and/or finance laws in the respective jurisdiction of each customer


What you’ll need:

  • A Mortgage Salesperson License in Manitoba (or equivalent in BC/AB/ON), with 2+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge of personal lending, relationship sales and management
  • Experience working in both a sales and/or call centre environment is considered a bonus
  • Experience using Filogix Expert and Morweb is an asset
  • A customer-centric personality – you have the ability to communicate financial concepts simply to our customers with the passion to go above and beyond to make each customer interaction amazing
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office systems such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience working in a high volume and dynamic environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
