Mogo is looking for a passionate and driven individual with the ability to take ownership to become our Infrastructure Engineer. Reporting to the VP of IT Infrastructure and Support and working with our close-knit technical team, This role would require the successful candidate to have the hustle to hit the ground running while navigating Mogo’s elaborate landscapes. What you'll do:

  • Working with Software Engineers, Architecture Engineers, Network Engineers Project Management, and Management on Mogo’s network infrastructure and servers.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain network equipment. (Juniper, Cisco, Meraki)
  • Implement, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows VM’s, AWS and Azure Cloud infrastructure.
  • Automate and improve processes.
  • Monitor existing systems and scale for growth.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents.
  • Work with a team to complete projects, tickets, and other tasks.
  • Documenting network and system changes.
  • Working with the rest of the Engineering staff on developing and testing new technologies and further backbone implementations.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting internet-facing production services and distributed systems
  • Extremely organized, detail oriented, and thorough in every undertaking
  • Able to balance multiple tasks and projects effectively and quickly adapt to new variables
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability utilizing creative and innovating thinking but also adhering to
  • Self motivated and eager to learn
  • Experience with SharePoint, MS Dynamics CRM and Skype for Business – Preferred
  • Able to work closely with other team members as well as work independently
  • Azure and AWS experience
  • Scripting with Bash, PERL, Python
  • Knowledge of firewalling technologies and concepts
  • Knowledge of routing technologies and protocols - DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF
  • Experience with Juniper and Cisco networking equipment
  • Understanding IT security best practices
  • Understanding of network management and troubleshooting utilities

Understanding of PCI-DSS compliance or other industry standard compliance efforts – Preferred
